Kenneth Faried Could Give Cards Trouble...

Most college hoops fans would agree that the selection committee did a horrible job with the seeding/selection process. All I’ve heard the last couple days is people dissing the way the brackets were put together, where certain teams were seeded and who got snubbed. Even though I agree with about all the gripes, It’s now time to shift focus on the task at hand. That’s enjoying the best month of the sports year.

The Cards got a tough draw with Morehead State and the Fighting Kenneth Farieds. Figures the committee would set up a 4/13 matchup with the underdog the far superior rebounding team and probably begging for a piece of the big city school. Coach Pitino will make bums of teams seem like the Harlem Globetrotters, but this time he isn’t lying when he says his squad has an extremely tough draw.

This team proved they can come together and string a few wins in a row against quality competition last week. Starting Thurday at 1:40 they will have to do it again against Morehead and either Vandy or Richmond on Saturday.

Today on the Sports Buzz…

Greg Brohm and Chip Cosby are going to continue to break down the brackets and evaluate the Cards and Cats’ chances. The Cards need to figure out a way to keep the all-time leading rebounder, Kenneth Faried of Morehead, off the glass. The Cats need to stay healthy and out of foul trouble as they try to stop the back-door cuts of Princeton. Greg and Chip will give their take and listen to what you have to say at (502) 571.1080
