Cards Land 2010 Commitment

Today is a good day for Rick Pitino and the University of Louisville men’s basketball team, with the commitment of Justin Coleman. The 6’ 4” 4-star swing man is out of Huntington, West Virginia, and is currently rated the 45th best player in this year’s class. It’s has been rumored that Coleman and his team mate Gorgui Dieng would be a package deal. Dieng is listed as a tall lanky forward at 6’ 10”. Jody Demling tweeted right after the news of Coleman’s commitment, “he’s leaning (towards Louisville) now.” speaking about Dieng. Which bodes well for the Cardinals, this year’s recruiting class was lacking the pop and star power that U of L fans have come to expect from Rick Pitino with only 3 star guard Russ Smith committed. Now with this recent commitment people will start relaxing, and stop wondering if Pitino has lost and edge in recruiting. That has seemed to be a hot topic of discussion in recent weeks, along with some bad calls. But if you still question Pitino’s ability to recruit the top players, look at the 2011 as it stands right it will be a top 3 class.

  1. Hopefully this guy can qualify.
