Kentucky is looking at bringing in about 22 commits tomorrow led by 4-star punter Joe Mansour. The Wildcats have a large group of 3-stars though. A group that includes TE Alex Smith, TE Tyler Brause, OT Teven Eatmon, DE Michael Douglas, RB Raymond Sanders, DE Justin Henderson, and much more.
Louisville has seemed to be in the news more in grabbing recruits but then again the Cards and new coach Charlie Strong has a few more holes to fill then the Wildcats. The Cards have gotten two 4-star kids from Florida in DE B.J. Butler and WR Michaelee Harris. Charlie Strong is hoping to finish off tomorrow with at least 30 commitments but could finish wit around 24. Kadron Boone (4-star) and DT Todd Chandler (4-star) both have the Cards on their final cut list with a decision to come sometime tomorrow. Center Harry Bivin (3-star), OG Torrian Wilson (3-star), QB Dominque Brown (3-star), and RB Kami Hogan (3-star) are among some of the other future freshman Cards.
One local player that both Louisville and Kentucky are still fighting for is Central linebacker Timothy Patterson (3-star). There have been rumors that Patterson might not be qualifying academically and would have to either go the JUCO route or be a Prop 48 parcial qualfier. If that is the case then I would not be shocked if he chose UK. No that is not a slap at UK but the SEC does allow parcul quilifiers, while the Big East does not. Patterson will be making his decision at 10:30am streaming live at courierjournal.com.
We will have a full breakdown of all the official new Cards and Cats on here tomorrow night.
