Kentucky Shutouts Miami (OH) 42-0

Kentucky recorded their first shutout since 1996 and their first shutout in a season opener since 1993. Mike Hartline was 18/27 with 222 yards and 2 touchdowns in the Wildcats route. Last years starting quarterback Randall Cobb had 7 of Hartlines 18 completions, finishing with 96 yards and 1 touchdown. Wide receiver Chris Matthews also had 4 catches for 57 yards and 1 touchdown. Kentucky’s defense forced 2 turnovers (one for a touchdown) and held the Redhawks to 188 total yards.
