Well if anyone was wondering about the time schedule of return that tiger set out with, playing in both the world championships & the king’s event, can now conclude that he knew what he was doing. The great one was able to overcome the five stroke deficit and provide pure Tiger moments in winning for the first time since the Open. Third round leader Sean O’Hair was just slightly off from the start but was still in contention to win until he made a critical mistake by coming up short and into the water on the 16th hole. Tiger then played what was the shot of the tournament with a 100 yard controled wedge to get up and down for par. A bogey on the 17th for Tiger brings O’Hair back tied for the lead and after O’Hair pulls his 7 iron to the middle of the green, Tiger hits his 2nd shot to 15 feet. Tiger then hit another one of those putts that was center of the cup when it left his putter and everyone knew it was going in. Great decision by NBC to keep the coverage all the way to the end. See you in a couple of weeks Tiger!

Kenny Perry has continued his good play as he tied for 8th this week. Kenny closed his tournament out with a final round 67 and I do expect him to contend in the majors this year. After the criticism of skipping the US Open & British Open to focus on making the Ryder Cup team, and his play during the Ryder Cup, should serve his motivation quite nicely.
