So he is human. In a match that on paper he is supposed to win handly, the rust showed, & it is again proven that match play is truely anyone’s game. Flashes of last year’s match up against JB holmes, when Tiger came stoming back from 4 down with 5 to play, was on everyones mind as he holed that incredible bunker shot on the 14th hole for the win, but a wayward tee shot on the following hole sealed the deal and Tim Clark wins 4&2. Who do you think was more disappointed, Tiger or the TV executives? I went on record with Ragone & Padgett this morning saying that Tiger would not win this event but I did not see Tim Clark coming……….
The matches will go on & some interesting matches are slated for tomorrow. Two of the matches that are must see, Villegas/Ogilvy & Mickelson/Cink, as the first pairing has a past champion (Ogilvy) and Camillo who has been mowing down his opponents. The other match has lefty against last years runner up with both having an exceptional record at match play. Should be good.
