Scott McCarron played the last hole last night in dark, making a solid par, and took the clubhouse lead midway throgh the Northern Trust Open at 10 under par 132. Scott has battled injuries for the last two years and will be playing in the last group on the weekend for the first time in quite a while. I believe that anyone who is 8 strokes back at the mid way point has a chance to play their way into contention and win, but today is the day to step up. Both native Kentuckians, JB Holmes (140) & Kenny Perry (138), are within striking distance as well as the who’s who of the top 30 in the world. I’m still sticking with Phil, but the field is looking good.
Big day for the cards & cats. Let’s hope both play good ball and get the W!
