Check out my blog for all of the news and views in the world of MMA as seen through the eyes of long time MMA writer Dave Meltzer:

Also don’t forget this weekend there is a UFC from the UK that will be airing on tape delay on Spike on Saturday Night at 9pm Eastern. The show is headlined by a battle of top 155lbers Joe “Daddy” Stevenson and Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez. The build up on the preview show that Spike show was awesome that aired earlier this week and worth checking out if you want to set your DVR as I am pretty sure it is reairing a few times on Spike this week before the show on Saturday Night.  The show really did do a good job of building up this fight as something you want to see. I posted a different less in-depth preview of the fights on the televised portion of the show.   Joe Daddy has lost 2 of his last 3 times he visited Octagon which really isn’t much of a shame since the guys that beat him are BJ Penn and Kenny Florian who are facing off this Summer for Penn’s Lightweight Title. Diego, himself is dropping to the 155 division as he chases the dream of getting a title fight against Penn. If Diego beats Joe Daddy and gets 1 more win it will put him in line for a title scrap. Diego is on a 2 win streak after he dropped back to back fights to Josh Koscheck and Jon Fitch who are two of the better 170lbers in the world currently.
