Cards are 6-0

Louisville Syracuse BasketballI couldn’t  have been more impressed with the play of the Louisville Cardinals today, as the went on the road to a hostile Carrier Dome against a very good Syracuse team and left with a win. Watching the first half I didn’t think the Cards could have played much better overall but Syracuse took every punch Louisville threw and kept there balance only trailing by 5 halftime, which did worry me some. I knew Syracuse had just weathered one of our best punches and they would be coming out in the second half w3ith some punches of their own. They did, going on a 9-2 run to take the lead 42-40 at the 14 minute mark but Louisville didn’t panic. They didn’t start forcing their offense and didn’t start just gunning up jumpers like they had in the past. No all they did was continue to run their zone offense and took Syracuse’s best shot. Ending the game  with a 9-0 run to seal a 6-0 conference record. This game showed me how tough this Louisville team really is and how dangerous the Cards are going to be come March.
